L’Isle-sur-Sorgue annual floating market

Every year, on the first Sunday in August, L’Isle-sur-Sorgue becomes a vast floating market. Come and experience this amazing event and spend a morning admiring the colours and flavours offered by the stand-holders in their traditional Provençal dress. So what makes it so unique? All the stands are in fact the flat bottomed boats typical of the area. Known as "Nego chins", they cross the river from one bank to the other offering customers their locally produced wares. So don't miss this opportunity to enjoy an extraordinary event, but arrive early to be sure to get the best places!

The Véraison Festival in Châteauneuf-du-Pape
