From our campsites in France on the Spanish border or from a campsite in Spain, come and explore the Iberian Peninsula. Spain is one of Europe's most popular tourist destinations. Here, you can discover a wide range of cultures and landscapes, depending on the region you choose.
Catalonia enjoys a location that is close to the Pyrenees as well as to the Mediterranean. Its highest point is the Pica d'Estats, at a height of more than 3,000 metres.
The gentle climate of the Costa Brava and its numerous fine sand beaches are just perfect for relaxing. From its beaches you can explore the colourful fishing ports like Cadaqués, where there are constant reminders of the famous artist, Dali, and wonderful locations such as the citadel of Rosas, the old town of Tossa de Mar, the Cap de Creus nature reserve and the Medes Islands at Estartit.
Of course Catalonia is also personified all over the world by Barcelona, which is Spain's second-largest city and which has all sorts of activities and locations for tourists to visit. Take a stroll along Las Ramblas or the seaside, where the warm Mediterranean sun meets the waves. From the heights of Park Güell and Montjuic, you can enjoy looking down over the city, and especially Gaudi's famous Sagrada Familia.
Visiting Spain is also an opportunity to stroll around its towns and cities, all with astonishing heritages, such as Madrid, Valencia, Seville, Bilbao and Santiago de Compostela.
