The Vendée's special character can be seen in its sandy beaches, the shade of the evergreen oaks and acacias, or along the banks of Lake Jaunay. The Puy du Fou attraction park is worth a visit for its breath-taking, life-size historic shows and you can also visit the nearby seaside towns.

Enjoy the charms of the Vendée coast: here, the elements join and combine to create a unique area of coastline! The tides and waves, which can be powerful, have sculpted the chalk rock of the coastline, resulting in one of the Vendée's most attractive areas of coastline. Whether it's the Corniche du Nouch or close to the Château d'Olonne, you can come and enjoy the place where the elements come together, where the rocks defy the sea. Let your imagination run free at the Puits d'Enfer, before going off to enjoy the sunset on the horizon.
Looking for greenery and nature? Then the Vendée is perfect for you! Well-maintained and with various footpaths and cycle routes, the Vendée's forests are the ideal place to spend an afternoon with the family, as a couple or with friends. You can hire a bike at the campsite, or just go for a walk among the pine trees, shelter from the sun beneath the foliage, or go and enjoy the cool and calm near the old oak and birch trees.
Sea, salt marshes and lakes,... Here, water is omnipresent. A visit by boat to one of the still productive salt marshes is always a trip hugely enjoyed by visitors. There, you can find out about the history of salt through the centuries, as well as see plant life and birds which are typical of wetlands: salicornia, herons, gulls,... you'll be in for a wealth of memories!
From camping Château la Forêt, you are ideally positioned to get to the Lac du Jaunay or one of the 3 nearby ponds. Fishing, canoeing, kayaking or just walking along its banks, there are all sorts of relaxing activities to enjoy.
