The Loire Marathon

Whether you’re a hardened marathon runner or a first-timer, discover the Loire Marathon during your camping holiday! On 05 May 2024, head for the town of Saumur and an unforgettable experience in a festival atmosphere. Each year, nearly 10,000 runners take up the sporting gauntlet for a great day that offers 4 major events with something for all levels: the individual marathon over a 42km circuit, the half marathon, the combined event with a two-person canoe race plus a running race, together with the 10km race through the streets of this attractive town in the Pays de la Loire. Amazing!

Throughout the entire event, the marathon village will be welcoming over 30,000 visitors in a convivial and festive ambiance. Musicians, singers, dancers and stall-holders will each be adding their own special touch to the day’s festivities. And to ensure the whole experience is even more unforgettable, join in the many other activities on offer based around the world of running: training sessions by sports coaches, yoga lessons, wellness and health stands...
