Fires in the Landes - Au Lac de Biscarrosse campsite
24 July 2026 - Preventive evacuation of the campsite and suspension of arrivals
Due to an ongoing fire in the municipality of Biscarrosse and at the request of the prefectural authorities, a preventive evacuation of the campsite was carried out calmly during the night.
At this stage, the campsite has not been affected by the fire, and our teams remain on alert to closely monitor how the situation develops.
By order of the Landes Prefecture, in order to limit travel in the area and facilitate the work of the emergency services, the campsite is no longer welcoming any customers on site: customers are asked not to travel.
The campsite teams remain fully committed alongside the authorities to ensure the safety, information and support of holidaymakers:
- Customers who were evacuated will be contacted by email.
- Customers with an arrival date scheduled this weekend and up to and including Monday 27 July will unfortunately not be able to be welcomed as planned. However, they will be able to postpone their arrival from Tuesday 28 July, depending on how the situation develops and subject to authorisation from the prefectural authorities.
- Customers with an arrival date scheduled from Tuesday 28 July onwards are asked to wait and will receive information about their booking by email, depending on how the situation develops on site.
