Discover the story of Yelloh! Village Mas Sant Josep through the words of Clara, its owner. A project born in the 1980s, imagined for families — by a family.
An idea sparked in a traveller’s mind
Welcome to the Costa Brava, at the heart of a vast estate bathed in sunshine and surrounded by Mediterranean nature. It was here, in the 1980s, that Joan Balletbò — a passionate traveller and nature lover — gave life to a unique project. More than that, he fulfilled a dream: to create a place where families could gather, breathe, share moments, and simply be happy.
This is how Mas Sant Josep came to be, with plots twice the usual size and a 2,500 m² pool — a true revolution for its time. Later on, his children continued the adventure with the same ambition to push boundaries, offering an innovative camping experience that has continued to attract more and more holidaymakers.
A vision passed down through generations
Since 2003, this story has continued within the Yelloh! Village family — then a young adventure built on the same values of proximity, commitment and passion. Today, Mas Sant Josep still shines on the Costa Brava. And it is now Clara, Joan’s granddaughter, who runs this 30-hectare estate. But the soul of the campsite remains unchanged: “Even as the third generation, we are carrying on my grandfather’s vision.”
Clara can rely on a loyal team, with some members having joined the campsite more than 25 years ago. Together, they keep the family spirit of Mas Sant Josep alive, with one goal in mind: that every visitor leaves with a lighter heart, beautiful memories, and the desire to return.
