Origins of Happiness
Created in 1976 in Argelès-sur-Mer, La Marende has always nurtured a simple, family-oriented spirit. Taken over in the 1990s, the campsite became much more than a project: a place to live, shaped over the years by a family deeply committed to what they build.
A story that begins early
It all starts with a takeover. In 1995, the campsite enters a new family story. From the very first season in 1996, it becomes a place of full commitment.
At 19, he discovers the job on the ground. Between studies and seasons, all his free time is spent here. The campsite becomes a landmark, a rhythm, an obvious choice.
Over the years, La Marende evolves. The number of pitches increases, facilities develop, a swimming pool is built, and becoming a 4-star campsite marks an important milestone. But never in a rush.
Here, things move differently. Gradually. Taking the time to do things right.
A deeply human vision
Very quickly, the campsite becomes a family affair. Parents, sisters, children… everyone, at some point, takes part in the life of the place.
This presence creates something special. A natural closeness. A relationship that grows with guests, season after season.
Today, Yelloh! Village La Marende remains true to this spirit. A human-scale campsite, not trying to compete with the largest resorts, but offering something else: quality, simplicity, and above all, connection.
Tools evolve, the profession changes, habits shift. But one thing remains.
At Yelloh! Village La Marende, the essence of the job is still the same: creating memories, and being there for those who live them.
