So much emotions and hope!
19 July at 10.45am: Panorama du Pyla campsite destroyed by fire
We are devastated to announce that our campsite has been completely destroyed by fire. Despite the relentless efforts and dedication of the emergency services at the scene, our beloved campsite could not be saved.
For many of you, our site signifies several decades of holidays, laughter and children’s fun and games. For our family and our teams, it has wiped out several generations of work and 40 years of encounters and friendships. Fortunately, for the time being, the most important has been spared: our holidaymakers and our colleagues are all safe and sound, thanks to the bravery of the fire-fighters.
Although we are still in shock over this tragedy, we have to face the fact that we will not be able to welcome you this summer, to our greatest regret.
Our splendid pine grove has gone but your many messages of support are helping us to look ahead to the future.
We will give you more details by email in the next few days.
Cédric and all the team at the Panorama du Pyla campsite.
18 July at 7.15pm: Panorama du Pyla campsite is hit by flames
It is with deep emotion that we inform you that the flames are currently affecting our campsite.
We have no precise information at this time on the extent of the damage on site but the current weather conditions lead us to believe that the situation will not improve.
As the area is off limits and priority is given to the safety of people, we have no further information from the prefectural authorities. Please be assured of our full commitment in the coming days to provide you with the most accurate answers to your questions as well as through our news feed and our social networks.
We thank you for your messages of support which will be all the more comforting in the days to come.
