Les Médiévales d’Issel with Yelloh! Village

Every year, on Whit Sunday, the village of Issel journeys back to medieval times. A Middle Ages village is recreated for 24 hours, everyone wears period costume and there is a wide range of entertainment. For example, you can see:

-          Shows, with something new every year.

-          A medieval market, with fifty or so craft stalls.

-          Jousting.

-          Camps.

-          Introductory sessions for various activities, some of which are adapted for children.

The whole event is organised by volunteers, proud to uphold these traditions. The activities are entirely free of charge and the atmosphere is extremely friendly and welcoming. Our campsite in the Aude is in the neighbouring village but you won’t need to head back at mealtimes as you can eat at Les Médiévales, where there is a refreshments stand and catering (although booking is recommended).
