Camping Bourg-en-Bresse

Lying just 60 km from Lyon, Bourg-en-Bresse is a little town that's well worth a look. Take some time to really enjoy your holiday!

From the massive Porte des Jacobins to the half-timbered houses of Hugon and Gorrevod, the town centre of Bourg-en-Bresse will take you on a journey several centuries back in time. Its town centre, with pedestrianised streets, is an opportunity to see some of the town's private mansions, with their wonderful frontages.
Take some time to really soak up the feeling and atmosphere of this busy town centre, before heading over to the Notre Dame de l’Annonciation cathedral: this used to be a church, before being renovated during the Renaissance. A mix of various styles, and is very definitely worth visiting!

The royal monastery of Brou is certainly one of the town's main attractions! Dating back to the 16th century, with its decorated walls and colourful roof tiles, this is a must-see while exploring the town. You'll find a visit to this building is a rewarding experience, with its Gothic sculptures and marble statues.
It would be a shame to come to Bourg-en-Bresse without paying a visit to Seillon forest and the farm/museum of la Forêt, in Courtes. Here, you'll see a highly realistic reconstruction of an authentic farm in the Bresse region. They say that this farm's enormous crossbeam weighs more than 4 tons!

Younger visitors, meanwhile, will love the Bouvent amusement park! Just 2 km from the town centre, here you'll find a patrolled beach, a watersports centre, a leisure park and various hiking trails. Bourg-en-Bresse is a town that's full of nature and greenery!
