Holidays in camping Pyrénées Atlantiques

The department of Pyrénées Atlantiques consists of two regions that are deeply rooted in tradition.

During your holiday, you'll be able to experience the strong culture here, as well as the extraordinary temperament of its people. On the Basque side, the most well-known towns are Bayonne, with its famous feria and ham. Hendaye, Saint Jean de Luz and Biarritz, at the ocean's edge, are fantastic surfing spots and dynamic seaside resorts. The Basque sport of pelota and force basque are typical sports in this region. The original theatrical tradition of the Pays Basque stems from ancient times. Why not come and enjoy one of their productions during your holiday? And you shouldn't miss the opportunity to visit one of its amphitheatres and the bullfighting tradition, with the Corridas and courses landaises bullfights.

In the Béarn region, the party never stops! Traditional festivals start with the transhumances at the beginning of the summer. Throughout the summer season, you'll find shepherds and village dwellers sharing their culture and their know-how, with a cheese fair, dog training, the bullfighting feria at Orthez, "l'été des ch'teaux" and more. There are also newer cultural events such as the Pau festival.
