My name is Stéphanie and I'm 7, and I'm going to Brittany for the first time, to Bénodet, to stay in a Yelloh! campsite. My brother, Maxime, is 10 and my cousin, Gérald, is 16. Mum and Dad are really pleased to be discovering a new region.
It's Monday. We arrived safely last night and this morning we were awoke to lovely sunshine. Mum and Dad are going to the market in Bénodet this morning, so they are leaving me in the Kids Club. The activity leader has organized for us to make a "souvenir box" each. Cool! Maxime has gone off to play basketball with the Junior Club -a tournament has been organized this morning against the teenagers in the Teens Club... but Gérald got up later and decided to lounge around in the swimming pool, using the SPA and the slides. Dad told me that this is Brittany's biggest indoor pool in a holiday village. I can see why, it's so big and what's more, it even has slides.
At lunchtime, Mum and Dad came to fetch me, and I head off with my box that I made all by myself! We meet up on the terrace of our cottage for a barbecue; Dad starts to light the barbecue and we look for twigs to help him. During lunch, I spot a giant squirrel: it's Yellito! I run to give him a cuddle! Photo shoot and autograph are the order of the day - I want my souvenir...!
2 pm, and Gérald has gone back to the Teens Club this afternoon, it's Koh Lanta Bénodet on the campsite. A trial of physical and intellectual prowess, he didn't want to miss that... Maxime is at the Juniors Club for the pre-premier of The Polar Express in 3D at the Yelloh! cinema. He's going to have fun, with his 3D spectacles and his Dolby Digital. As for me, I'm going back to the Kids Club to take up the incredible challenges set by Yellito... loads of competitions and puzzles like a giant fair, leading us straight to the bar where tea is waiting for us along with our mascot Yellito - cool!
These activities over, we all meet up on the panoramic terrace of the bar opposite the pool for a nice ice cream... I spot a pony walking through the campsite, and want to get on its back... Gérald isn't too mad on this and has spotted the pedal-karts in Reception. So here we are all riding ponies, followed by Gérald on a go-kart. Maxime is going to be jealous because he missed the pony ride, as he's on the adventure trail in the trees. He has even done the big aerial runway. He's really tough, my brother.
This ride has given us an appetite and this evening it's the Mussels-and-Chips night in the restaurant. Luckily there's a children's menu, as I'm not terribly keen on that. During the meal a group of men and women sing us Breton songs, I love it!
8:30 pm - quick, it's Discokids time and my activity leader is putting on the lights and smoke, we're going to do the dance of Dora the Explorer!
9 pm - we all meet up in front of the stage for a Breton dance show. The girls have pretty period dresses. Next week it'll be Polynesian dances apparently... it's good that the entertainment is different each week. It's the end of the show, and Mum and Dad want us to go home, so that's where we're heading. Gérald stays with his friends, as a disco session has been arranged for the older children at 10:30.
Tomorrow, we're going to visit the Glénan islands; it's an archipelago of 7 white-sandy islands. A friend from the Kids Club told me that the water was turquoise... I think that means light blue. Actually, I'm feeling a bit tired so I'm going to look at the pictures in my book for a while, and then I'll go to bed. Tomorrow is another day full of excitement and discoveries.
