This was a lovely small Yelloh village, lots of trees and shade, shady walkway to the village. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. We had a rental with a jacuzzi, which was nice. Even though there is no bakery or restaurant on site, the staff take bread orders each night, and will even order pizza from a local place. They organized several group outings, games, drinks, hikes, etc. The reason I gave 8 overall was more to do with the rental we had. We had a "4 flower" rental, which while it had a brand new feel, missed some small things that could have made it much better. There is almost no lighting in the bedrooms and bathroom, which meant taking a shower at night was in almost total darkness. It could use a few more small shelves in the bathroom and kitchen. There were only sheer curtains on the large salon windows, which made walking around at night awkward. The beds were very, very firm. Almost like sleeping on the floor, unfortunately. For this reason alone we would not take this rental again, as we didn't sleep well the entire week. Also, why on earth would you have a rooster on the campsite? My kids woke up early every morning because of this. :) They thought it was fun, we did not enjoy waking up at 6 because of it. The terrace also could use a parasol, as it is in full sun at noon. We stay at a different Yelloh village about twice a year, and this one is worth visiting, but if you're looking for more comfort, maybe try the Premium rentals. This lovely Yelloh village is small enough to get some peace and quiet, but well located for exploration and enjoying the local scene. Overall we would recommend!
