6 good reasons to visit our region

1. The warmth of the Catalan region

A holiday discovering a bright region with amazing sea, lake and mountain scenery. Mild in spring and autumn and hot in summer, the Catalan region's climate is typically Mediterranean. At Le Brasilia the tone is warm to begin with, and we will help you to discover the people, traditions, crafts, famous gastronomy and atmosphere of Catalan festivals. Le Brasilia gives you the right addresses.

2. Canet-en-Roussillon

The resort which welcomes you offers you its finest assets: a 9-kilometre beach of fine sand, a complete range of all the sporting and leisure activities, a protected pool with the legendary Catalan mountains in the background: Le Canigou. The casino and numerous discotheques will attract the most demanding night birds.

3. Collioure and its fishing harbour

The jewel of the "vermilion coast", Collioure with the pink dome on its steeple, the beaches of its old town, and also its harbour bathed in light has attracted visitors of all ages and the greatest Impressionist painters.

4. Banyuls and its vineyards

In an area of vineyards and charming seaside resorts, Banyuls-sur-mer is a pleasant small town with avenues bordered by palm and plane trees. You will also come there to taste its Vin Doux Naturel (al sweet fortified wine) with "Grand Cru" on the label. Here the terraced vineyards drop down to the sea.

5. Perpignan, the capital of Roussillon

Although Catalan rather than French, Perpignan is none the less the capital of Rousillon. Unmissable at the crossroads between sea and mountain, between France and Spain, it is warm and welcoming. You will journey back in time in its Castillet, its palace of the Kings of Majorca and its station, affectionately nicknamed "the centre of the world" by Salvador Dali.

6. The Catalan hinterland

Dominating the turquoise waters of the bay of Collioure, the foothills of the Pyrenees through which you will travel are home to a succession of vineyards and typical villages. Here the Pyrenees and the Canigou rise up a few kilometres from the sea.
