We invite all the children to spend their time as close as possible to the farm animals, every morning in the high season and depending on demand in the low season. You'll watch as children and animals make friends with each other during your stay here. They will spend their mornings learning to stroke the animals, from ponies to donkeys, to look after them, to feed them, or even learning to make cheese! You'll watch a magical relationship build up between your tiny tots and our animals, a mutual respect and tenderness that they won't be in a hurry to forget. We have developed a "children's farm" concept by selecting the gentlest and most docile animals, in a bid to share our love of nature with your children.
At Le Bout du Monde Yelloh! Village, the tiny tots are transformed into apprentice bakers or master potters. At their own pace, they each try out the traditional country trades that appeal to them.
Ponies are made available for the children to enjoy a ride in the country, at their leisure.
At Le Bout du Monde, one can learn about trees, try one's hand at fishing on the small lake adjoining the campsite, and learn about looking after the farm animals with the shepherd. Building a dam on the edge of the Aiguebelle stream could become an excuse for a picnic out in the wilds.
9:00 am: The birds are singing, the sun is starting to glimmer in the sky: it's time to go and look after the animals on the farm. Thomas, 7, is getting ready to join Aurélie, the farmer's wife, to help her feed the animals and learn to milk Petite Fleur, the milking cow.
10:00 am: This morning, it's the Tarzan trail. Thomas and his little friends set into the woods off with Yohann, the activity leader, looking for the perfect branch for making a bow. They also gather feathers for dressing up like real Indian chiefs.
Eva, Thomas' big sister, wakes up gradually and gets ready for the volleyball tournament in the meadow.
2:00 pm: After a little family picnic in the shade of the oaks, Thomas is going to learn to make bread in the auberge with his parents, while Eva meets up with her friends for a short swim and a sunbathe at the edge of the natural swimming pool.
3:00 pm: The whole family meets up again beside the pool for a short spell of relaxation and fun while enjoying the view over the Lauragais plain.
5:00 pm: After using up all their energy, everyone reunites again on the terrace of the wine bar to sample a goodly portion of ice cream and catch the last rays of sunshine.
6:00 pm: Now it's time to prepare the aperitif. Thomas and Eva go off to catch crayfish on the lake, which their parents will sample grilled, as an appetiser
10:00 pm: After a fine meal at the auberge, at which the whole family has feasted themselves on traditional and gargantuan regional dishes, Eva and Thomas went off to the middle of the meadow to end the evening around the fire, toasting marshmallows.
10:30 pm: Thomas has seen his first shooting star...
11:00 pm: Now that Thomas has gone to bed, Eva rejoins her parents who are finishing the wine tasting at the wine bar.
