La Petite Camargue camping village: nearby

5 good reasons to visit our region

1. The immediate surroundings of the camping

We have laid out a pedestrian trail and a mini animal reserve for you on our 40-hectare estate: all sorts of ducks, Canada geese, rare Ushant sheep, dwarf goats, deer... Young and old will be enthralled!
Along the old canal, you'll be able to watch birds, ducks and flamingoes in their natural state... our home-reared horses frisking in the meadows, and, from April onwards, the little foals taking their first footsteps...

2. The Camargue, a passion to share

For more than 30 we have been sharing our love of the Camargue with you. You'll discover a region of lakes, marshes and vineyards, rice fields and salt marshes. The Camargue is also an atmosphere, a land of traditions based around the Camargue horses and bulls, and local festivals. You will love this warm-hearted, bright land where the sea and the land meet.

3. Aigues-Mortes and its ramparts

Around the village, Aigues-Mortes and its ramparts, erected by St Louis, who wanted to endow the kingdom of France with a port on the Mediterranean. The 13th-century city of Aigues-Mortes beckons! You'll be captivated by the town's picturesque shops and its tempting restaurants. And don't forget to visit the Salins du Midi, Europe's largest salt marshes!

4. the most beautiful beaches of the French Mediterranean

Make the most of the immense golden beaches of l'Espiguette, ideal for little children and watersports.

5. Roman Nîmes

Roman and Hispanic, from the Camargue and the Cevennes, the Languedoc or Provence, traces of every accent are to be found in Nîmes! The southern sunshine, the winds, and a variety of influences have shaped it over 2,000 years. And its influences and paradoxes may well be numerous, but its character is unique. You'll be captivated by its architecture, and come back for its ferias and for its festive feel.
