Find out about the Fête de l’Estive

Only 25km from the campsite, discover all the festivities at the Fête de l’Estive in Saint-Geniez-d’Olt 25 May 2024. Join the hundreds of hikers that accompany the herds of Aubrac cattle, decorated with flowers, rosettes and bells, during their transhumance up to the Aubrac plateaux and mountains. In May, come and be part of this traditional event, 100% nature and totally authentic!

The programme for the weekend

Two unique days await you. On Friday, enjoy an activity for all the family with a visit to the farm. The children will be wide-eyed with wonder as they discover all the animals. A fun moment they certainly won’t forget in a hurry. On Saturday morning, join the cows in the former cattle market before following them up to their summer pastures by choosing one of the 2 different hikes.

The Fête de l’Estive is also a market with local producers, the perfect opportunity to taste regional produce, enjoy folk entertainment and even a tango festival. You’d like to take part? Great! Don’t forget to sign up for the farm visit or the hikes. You’re going to love it!
