Closeup on Fort Louvois? This is a 17th century maritime fortification located on the rock of Bourcefranc-Le-Chapus between the Île d’Oléron and the Bassin de Marennes. The fort is listed as a historic monument and deemed to be the little brother of Fort Boyard. It's easy to get to at low tide on foot, and at high tide you can get here by boat. Better than swimming, we think you'll agree!
On the program? Seeing it all, of course! You can visit its keep, the barracks, the gunpowder magazine and more. A novel tour taking you back through time which the whole family will love! There are even some games set up to make it a fun and interactive visit. Games of observation for the little ones and puzzles for older children, so they'll be learning and having fun at the same time! A wonderful setting, fascinating history and a unique experience await you. Fort Louvois will reveal it all to you!
