Festival de Cornouaille

During your camping holiday, don’t miss the famous Festival de Cornouaille in Quimper. Since it first began in 1923 it has become an unmissable rendezvous in the region. So come and discover this jewel of Breton culture! Over 6 days, the historic heart of Quimper is bathed in a festive atmosphere as it beats to the rhythm of Celtic music. An annual summer event that delights some 250,000 visitors. Nearly 200 shows, concerts and fun entertainment will be on the programme, including many that are free of charge. A multitude of amazing moments to share as a family!

Throughout the week, come and watch the competitions typical of the region. The best “sonneurs” (those who play traditional instruments) and “bagadoù” (traditional Breton bands), plus of course the dancers, all will be competing for prizes. Unique entertainment that makes the trip more than worth it! On Sunday, the final day of the festival, don’t miss the traditional parade! 3,000 musicians and dancers in traditional folk costume unite to offer a fabulous spectacle. As every year, the Festival de Cornouaille grand parade is a moment the spectators particularly appreciate. A day rich in excitement and filled with surprises: the election of the Queen of Cornouaille, Breton wrestling and the closing concert will leave you with unforgettable memories. Immerse yourself in the heart of Brittany and experience a totally traditional week.
