Laudun Feria des Vins

When on holiday you love to immerse yourself in all the local traditions? Great! In that case we have an unmissable event for you: the Feria des Vins de Laudun!

Laudun-l’Ardoise is a small village in the Gard region, a few kilometres from La Roque-sur-Cèze. And do you know the most important tradition in the Gard? The local festivals of course! Laudun-l’Ardoise is no exception to the rule, notably when it comes to bulls and wine. So don’t hesitate to accept its invitation to join in the fun during its feria in the month of July. Four days of festivities, entertainment and laughter await all the family.

So what exactly is a feria all about? Very good question! You’ll be able to enjoy a range of different activities, each certain to surprise and entertain. Join in the “abrivado bandido” where the “gardians” on horseback try to control the bulls as they gallop through the streets. An impressive spectacle! As evening falls get together in the bodegas, to dance, sing and have fun. With an ambiance as great as this it’s easy to see why it’s so popular. The Feria des Vins in Laudun also includes: entertainment for the kids, plenty of tastings, foam party evenings, pétanque competitions... From morning ‘til night, see if you can keep to the beat of all the festivities! And don’t forget to dress in the traditional red and white: the colours of the feria!
