Camping holidays in the Lot

Lot is the land of nature, heritage and gastronomy; taking holidays in the Lot will lead you to discover many exceptional sites. Caves, medieval towns, country houses and castles, history buffs and curious visitors will find all their hearts could desire.

Start your journey in the town of Cahors in the Lot valley. Town of art and history, visit Valentré bridge, one of France's 5 most remarkable bridges which is also a listed UNESCO World Heritage Site, like Saint-Etienne Cathedral.

Take the opportunity to taste the town's famous wine, AOP Cahors, famous for its dark colouring: also known as "black wine".

Sporty visitors might enjoy a hike on Mont Saint Cyr and enjoy the view over the town of Cahors. Encircled by a bend in the Lot river, Cahors almost looks like a peninsula.

After Cahors, take a trip to Saint-Cirq Lapopie, a medieval village listed among France's most beautiful villages that was also voted "the favourite village of the French" in 2012. Nestled on a cliff over 100 meters above the Lot, this charming village remains one of the most beautiful sites in the Lot valley.
