Holidays in camping Port Barcarès
First and foremost, Port Barcarès is a fantastic beach, with 8 kilometres of fine sand, sunshine and relaxation! Here, watersports are the thing, with kitesurfing, wakeboarding and stand up paddle boarding! And everything has been arranged to ensure your stay is a really comfortable one. Every year, Port Barcarès has been awarded Pavillon Bleu status for the cleanliness of its beaches, as well as Station Kid status, which recognises the quality of facilities in place for children.
Port Barcarès beach also has a few surprises in store for you. At a bend in the promenade you'll come across a splendid building called Lydia, which is on the sand itself and which is actually a boat! This liner, which is the only one of its kind to be used as it is, is now a casino. You'll love this majestic feature, which now symbolises the town.
Port Barcarès also has a huge lake, which is a refuge for huge numbers of birds. As you walk along its shores, you'll also see a fishermen's village which has been rebuilt, along with boats with lateen sails.
