The architecture of the village of Gordes is incomparable: in the shadow cast by the imposing Renaissance castle, steep little alleyways and stone-built houses appear welded to the rock face. Enjoy a stroll through the narrow alleyways, and you'll notice some splendid terraced houses, wonderful carved doors and old stone walls, many hundreds of years old. A part of the very soul of Luberon lives here! And you can continue your tour underground when you visit the cellars of the Palais Saint Firmin, which is a real town beneath the village!
