We had a perfect time at Secrets, as usual.
We have great admiration for Fatima. She ran at fantastic first season at the Lodge. In its history, we believe, the Lodge has only had two great managers: Yann Prieure and Fatima. We consider Fatima the very best as she found it possible to combine management and personality in her approach both to personel and customer.
One great improvement, in our opinion, would be to place the animation team for the entire evening under the responsibility of the Lodge and not under the camping itself. With a combined management and interest, Lodge and animation can be much more harmonious and effective.

Initially we found the late night noise from the bar area disturbed us at night, but after speaking to a lovely lady in reception we were able to move to a quieter part of the site. This was our 6th visit, and we hadn't ever had a problem before.

It seems common practice in all camp-site for chalets not to have fly-screens in the windows. As a consequence we and I suspect many others had to keep the windows closed to keep insects out of the chalet. As a consequence we needed to run the air-conditioning a great deal and especially at night.
If all chalets had at least one window in the bedroom/s with a fly-screen it might save a great deal of electricity, money or indeed global carbon usage!

The house was very pendent on the rear part and it was unconfortable to sleep, the bedclothes was rip in many parts and it was very difficult to find some soap for the washing machine, for the rest very good.

Clean, quiet and friendly could best describe the situation at the Secrets de camargue. Since we had a little baby of 11 Months it was a piitty that we had to book in a 4 persons bungalow instead of the 2 persons bungalow as demanded. This in fact is strange because the closed balcony and the permanent shade of the smaller bungalows garantee an outside play environment for a baby. The larger Bungalow however has a dangerous Terrace (open and with steps on all sides). The friendliness of the animation team and the reception staff has impressed us both.
I do need to make the remark that service at the Restaurant was poor to terrible. If you got the wright waiter everything would be ok, but if you were unlucky (which we were twice, since we had dinner there 4 times) you would be ignored or treated like trash. If I would have had the bad experience on my first night, I would have never come back. Something to really take care about.

Pos :
The cottage was very nice. We enjoyed the airconditioning, the dishwasher and the nice bathroom. There was a lot of closet space.
The park is beautiful, with a nice pool. It was also very quiet.
The approximity of the beach L'espiguette is a big plus.
Neg :
The mattrass on our bed was terrible. The springs were pushing through the surface. A bad night's sleep was not what we expected on holiday...
If the beach is over 2.3km away, 5euro/day/bike is really expensive. In the past these bikes were even included in the price, and available at the cottage.
Wireless internet was not available at the cottage, as promised on the internet. If I asked what was wrong at the reception (I could not connect to it) they answered it was out of order that day. However, it stayed out of order the whole week...
The cottage was not cleaned properly. I think it was only cleaned by the previous renters, and not by the park itself.

The site is very pleasant and wonderfully clean, with, for those camping, excellent shower and toilet facilities.
There seems to be a soft discrimination between clients who stay in chalets and those who camp. E.g: information on activities is not given to campers on arrival; the weekly introduction to the site is very focussed for those who stay in chalets. Campers may arrive midweek, whereas those who stay in chalets seem to arrive/depart at a weekend.
It was not clear on the Activities (Animations) list that the Buffet requires payment. The way in which it presented leads one to think that it is free (gratuit).

The chalet was quite pleasant and comfortable.
The air conditioning unit was not effective (we stayed in No. 35)
The chalets were very close together and therefore one is very close to neighbour overlooking and seeing into one's room.
The windows, when open could be fitted with nets to prevent mosquitos entering; especially the bedroom.
The double bed was basic and uncomfortable - some of the wooden slats beneath kept falling out.
Not realising the chalet had a dishwasher, a few complimentary dishwasher tabs would have been useful.
The price of beer in the restaurant was very high.

The location of aircondition was so, that it didn't cool the bedroom at all.So too hot during the night.
Also not all the stuff listed was in the kitchen.Missed stuff like kitchen knife and needed more then 2 dinner knives :-)
Otherwise no problem at all, very friendly stuff and quietness of this place was just heavenly.
There was a weding in the camping on one of the days while we were staying, resulting in pool area being closed.Unfortunately alternative of using other camping for that day didn't work for us since it was too crowded to go to with our 8 month old son.Neither we could go and enjoy our free bottle of wine as appology for inconvenience since our baby sleeps at 20:00.So while this was organised well for most of other guests,it wasn't convenient for us :-(

Hello
we had another great holiday in the secrets of the camargue. All the staff were very friendly. the site is very clean which is very important. I love all the vegetation around the site it makes it beautiful. the new bicycle hire is great as the bikes are kept very well. We used them to cycle to Aigue Morte and they were great. The only thing that was quite shocking to us this year was the bar prices. We used the bar and restaurant once but found the prices for beer and spirits too expensive. The food was very good.
