Built on the slopes overlooking the Loire, Blois, the capital of Cher-et-Loir, is one of the major Renaissance centres in France. The visit begins with Leonardo da Vinci's residence during his last 3 years in Amboise. Visit his bedroom, his office and his kitchen furnished and decorated in the spirit of the Renaissance and finish with the models room with 40 fabulous machines made by following his drawings.
The visit continues in the Leonardo da Vinci Park, where information points with sound, videos and giant machines (tank, flying machine, da Vinci's boat...) will help you understand Leonardo's inventions in a fun and interactive way.

The lovely Diane of Poitiers, and the formidable Catherine of Medici lived in this "Castle of Ladies", located 30km from the campsite. Built on the water, the reflection of the Château de Chenonceau in the water is like a mirror. Its unique beauty, Renaissance architecture and gardens make it one of the most beautiful of the chateaux of the Loire. You can also take a boat ride beneath the arches of the chateau, or simply buy a bottle of the quality wine produced on the estate...

Along with Blois and Chambord, this is one of the most famous chateaux of the Loire. 38km away, it was built in the 17th century, and the property has belonged to the same family for 600 years. It boasts superb interior architecture and a remarkable collection of 15th, 16th, and 17th-century weaponry. You'll know all there is to know about lances, the arquebus and muskets. The little boys of your family will be ecstatic.
This is one of the most amazing zoos in Europe! 4,000 animals in 2 hectares, from the humming bird to the manatee or koala to the elephant, close to the chateaux of the Loire, 41km from the Parc du Val de Loire. Don't miss the incredible white tigers, white lions, tree kangaroos, and the unique Great Palm Cockatoos. They really are worth the detour.

Your children will be bowled over. Set off to spot stags with majestic antlers, dappled hinds, roebucks, and Corsican mountain sheep. The children will also see one of their favourite animals, the Bennett's wallaby. The Eurasian boar, American bison, and huge birds, the African ostriches, Australian emus and South American rheas will leave visitors spellbound. We house a fantastic variety of large captive-bred game animals and their young, in semi-liberty, in a 30-hectare park. 150 game animals can be approached along a 2.5km track.
