We had a really great time. Despite the weather, which we cannot control the campsite once again delighted us and the children. I have to commend you on the fantastic job you did in improving the site since the last time we visited in 2009. We will definitely return again!

A nice, friendly campsite overall. Peaceful and pretty. The campsite didn't feel finished, especially at the end we were situated, with plants still to be fully established, and work taking place to make new pitches. The take away food could have been better. The cabin/chalet we were in was a good size and comfortable, although the back of the sofa kept coming off which was a bit irritating. The campsite was in a good position to visit plenty of local sights, especially Blois.

End of season, there were faults with the mobile home that we pointed out to reception to be helpful. It would be helpful to have a second mirror, preferably a full length one, near to a socket. At Guilvinec, La Plage, they do have second mirrors.

I was disappointed that we were told we could check-in any time after 1 pm. but, on arrival at 1.15 pm., we found that your reception was closed until 2.00 pm. I then had ro reverse my large caravan out of the tight approach to the barrier because I was blocking other people trying to come in. Over the next few days we noticed that this happened to quite a few other people. During our stay there were occasions when the pass code we were given did not work and the barrier would not open. This was OK if the reception was attended, and someone could open the barrier for us but, between 12 noon and 2.00 pm we were stuck! I would think that a camp site of this size, with the amount of people coming in and out at all times, could afford to stagger the lunch breaks of the staff so that reception is open at all times.

We enjoyed all the facilities, however we had met a lot more friendly and warming staff in other resorts during our holiday.

Check-in was fast and efficient. I have to say the reception staff were excellent throughout our stay and nothing was too much trouble for them. Accommodation was in one of the new O'Hara 3 bed chalets which were spotless with the beds made and towels provided for all. The chalet looked out on a central green area with plenty of space around it for the kids to play. Campsite had excellent facilities and kids were delighted with the swimming pool complex with outside and inside (heated) pools. We had free wi-fi with our package and brought the laptop which helped the 14 year old keep in touch with her friends via Skype and Facebook. Only disappointment was the onsite restaurant, which we have planned to use 5-6 times during our 14 night stay. The first evening we tried it the waiter was so rude and unaccommodating that we just paid for our drinks and left. Don't know what his problem was but it really put a damper on the start of our holidays. The Kids Club was excellent and our youngest got great enjoyment from it. Would highly recommend this campsite as it is one of the best I have stayed in and we holiday in France every other year. Yelloh know how to run their campsites.

Holiday was generally enjoyable with several negatives:- 1) Pitch was next to toilet block & was pretty noisy 2) Supermarket was small, expensive and shut for half of the day 3) Restaurant staff were rude and unhelpful. Amazingly, for a campsite full of people from all over Europe, the restaurant staff only spoke French. This is inexcusable for an on-site restaurant.

We had a great time! The Yelloh village we stayed in was more than we expected and we'll certainly be booking another holiday at Parc de la Loire (spelling?). The things we really loved about the park were: the staff were very friendly and helpful; the swimming pool was fantastic and the general upkeep of the park was excellent. It was also in a fantastic location for us to explore the amazing chateux of the Loire Valley. The circuses in the evenings were an added bonus which my children enjoyed. A big thank you to Sebastian and his family for seeing to all of our needs. There were just a couple of things that I would change: one, is that the disco and karaoke in the evening are VERY loud and go on until well after 11 pm. Even inside of our caravan with the windows closed we could hear loud thumping music and the singing at the Karaoke was pretty bad. I just wonder if perhaps the volume could be turned down and maybe if it could finish earlier in the evening - perhaps by 10 pm. And the only other thing that concerned me a bit was that there are very large Poplar trees very close to the caravans and we did have a couple very windy stormy nights with made me a bit nervous as Poplar trees are very weak rooted. But those really are the only concerns I had the whole 3 weeks of our holiday and we really did have such a fantastic time. We really didn't want to come home. We'll certainly be booking a couple of weeks next summer! Thank you for an amazing holiday.

Campsite was great with good pitch, clean ablutions, loads of activities for the children, and wonderful pool. Main drawbacks for us was the very high price of alcohol at the camp bar (comparable to prices paid in the Alps during ski season and generally too high). Staff were generally helpful although when asking for restaurant guidance we were told there are many in Amboise, when really some local knowledge would have been better.
