Parc de Montsabert camping village: near the village

9 good reasons to visit our region

This year, your holidays at Parc de Montsabert Yelloh! Village will mean involve exploring the Loire and its chateaux and floral countryside. It's quite simple: you'll feel so great in Anjou that you'll extend your stay. Our region is France's second most popular area for tourism.

1. The Chateaux of the Loire

Treat yourself to a journey in time following the footsteps of the great men of the Renaissance. Ten kilometres from our campsite, the charming 15th-century chateau of Brissac, the tallest of the Loire chateaux, is bound to bowl you over. The chateau of Saumur affords a superb panoramic view over the Loire, not to mention Brézé and Montreuil-Bellay. The chateau of Angers, the home of the Dukes of Anjou, with its elegant gardens and its huge fortress with its two-coloured towers. And then of course there's Villandry, boasting one of the most beautiful gardens in Europe. Prepare to be captivated by Azay-le-Rideau, simple and stylish, and surrounded by water.

2. The zoo at Doué la Fontaine

Be sure to visit this magnificent zoo near the campsite, a "bio-park" with the biggest aviary in Europe, which will delight children of all ages.

3. All the green-tourism activities

You can go hiking, horse riding or mountain biking with family or friends in the heart of the countryside, exploring our beautiful landscapes and forests at a gentle pace.

4. A troglodyte manor

The Manoir de la Caillère: the surprising troglodyte country house and studio gallery of painter and sculptor Richard RAK.

5. Along the Loire

Classified as a UNESCO heritage site, the ever-changing course of the Loire and its variety of flora and fauna provide a unique spectacle! Come and enjoy the gentle way of life in Anjou, its illuminated landscapes and its verdant slopes.

6. For Connoisseurs of good things

Known as the garden of France, where orchards and vineyards flourish, the Val de Loire has yielded a delicate cuisine and sought-after wines. Come and try our Anjevin wines and gastronomy, and our syrupy wines at the Cointreau distillery in Angers and the Combier distillery in Saumur, not to mention the Bourgueil, Coteaux-du-Layon or Sancerre.

7. The Saumur national riding school

We're dazzled by the virtuosity of riders and horses alike at the equestrian displays put on by the Cadre Noir.
