Unspoilt, warm, and natural, the Languedoc Roussillon coast welcomes you to its seaside resorts that are open to the sea and the countryside and blend into their surroundings. Authentic fishing ports like the one at Sète, marinas, and inviting seaside resorts beckon you to the watersports and swimming. Really close to the Village, Marseillan-plage and the lake of Thau.
When the summer is at its hottest, you'll be able to take your children to Aqualand and Toonsland, two nearby amusement parks, with their water slides and water games. Don't forget swimwear and towels for some refreshing afternoons.
Unhurried, forever changing colour and rediscovering its traditions and tone, the Languedoc extends a special welcome to you. Take the time to sample the delicious Bouzigues oysters, washed down with a refreshing glass of Picpoul de Pinet. Treat yourself to a spring weekend, or an early autumn break... The gastronomy, the wine, the festivals, the Languedoc is all yours.
In our region, the vines line the lakes, which flank the sea as far as the eye can see. Villages of pale stone cling to hillsides that give way to small valleys. The Haut-Languedoc nature reserves and the banks of the Canal du Midi. Set out on an excursion into the hinterland and visit the cirques of Navacelles and Mouzère, the lakes, the grottos, and the Roman Oppidum.
As you are out and about, Béziers and its Feria, and Montpellier, the capital of the region, offer traditional festivity, with fairs, ferias, and festivals in the summer months. For culture, architecture and festivity: Carcassonne, Pézenas, Minerve, St Guilhem-le-Désert... Roman ruins in the Cathar castles: here you'll come across the ghost of our illustrious ancestors.
