This was my third time staying at a Yelloh campsite, first two times were in Brasilia. I expected something fairly similiar however they are very different and as I have learnt 4 star is not a reflection of what the campsite will be like. We stayed in J005 and the space allocated between it and the neighbouring cabins was very small, with inconvenient rocks that on the last day as we were leaving I damaged my car costing me ?450 to fix. Also my mother was on holiday with us and leaves her window open when she sleeps and each morning was awoken by the noise and the exhaust fumes of the neighbour as they drove away in their car. It is much much better to have an area for parking cars and then walk to the cabins as in Brasilia.

It was excellent. We found the facilities to be very good - particularly the pool area. We didn't take advantage of the kids club which was largely as we didn't understand particularly well what the children would be doing. The window of opportunity to book activities was also quite short - this could have been longer. The accommodation was very well put together - our only comment there would be that the pillows were not great - perhaps extra pillows would have helped but made sleep a bit uncomfortable. Kids really enjoyed the playground and the pool.

We had a superb holiday thank you very much. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and all of the facilities Yelloh village had on offer. We just have three comments to make about the site - We thought the tables outside the Chef Prosper takeaway cabin needed a good clean, the communal toilets (again outside Chef Prosper takeaway cabin) needed soap / savon on a daily basis and couldn't understand why adults are charged 4? each to play mini golf when everything else was free.

Grand pers 2 cottage was good but several things caused issues during the week 1 No kettle in the chalet - only a coffee maker - when my husband is violently allergic to coffee - we were told to use a pan to heat water 2 No oven or grill - only a gass hob - meant we were unable to use the food we have bought with us and had to throw away 3 No way to use the BBQ as there were no tools available 4 Lack of curtain over the shower entrance meant a large amount of water ended up on the floor of the bathroom every morning 5 not enough hanging space for drying towels within the chalet - another rail on the other side of bathroom door 6 no hooks for coats or dressing gowns/robes 7 Pillows too soft to be any use even using 2 each - needed to put something hard underneath to avoid very painful neckache each morning 8 sofa" in lounge was not comfortable at all - seat cushions quite thin and kept moving 9 youths walking through the area directly outside the lounge/kitchen doors/windows inc late at night when they were very drunk 10 lighting in bathroom useless for shaving unless the sun was also out 11 lighting in bedroom very low level 12 lighting in kitchen badly placed - very hard to see when using the hob or the space next to it - nearly got injured due to poor lighting"

This was our 3rd visit to La Ranolien and we once again had a fantastic time - we have two small boys under 3 and we found the facilities to be excellent for them. The only recommendation I would make would be to have take-away coffees available on site (i.e. like Starbucks).

Our accommodation was great - clean, comfortable and equipped with everything we could have wanted. The site is brilliantly located and has a fantastic range of facilities (we especially enjoyed the pool and spa). Staff were all really friendly and helpful. I can't fault anything, thanks for a lovely holiday!
