From the Breton marshland of Vendée, formed by the sea, to the Marais Poitevin, known as the Green Venice, this is a shoreline that enjoys as much sunshine as the Côte d'Azur. Its famous islands, Ile d'Yeu and Ile de Noirmoutier, are great places to visit. For an unusual way of getting there, take a Taxseaboat! This semi-rigid boat can seat 12 people and will take you to the heart of Ile d'Yeu and Ile de Ré. You can also take a tour of some other magnificent locations, including Les Sables d' Olonne and the port of Le Bourgenay.

There are all sorts of unusual activities to enjoy during your camping holiday in Vendée. Travel through the high farmland on a real steam train. This 2½ hour trip takes you through Vendée and its wonderful, green landscapes. Whether you're with your family or your friends, enjoy the trip along the 10 km making up an old railway. And don't leave until you've seen the extraordinary theme park called Le Puy du Fou, which will make for a very exciting day, where chariot racing and falcon shows will take you back in time!
