Winter skiing holidays at the Etoile des Neiges camping
The sheer joy of skiing!
The campsite is 200m from the bottom of the ski lifts in the resort of St Jean Montclar.
There are a thousand and one reasons to come skiing at St Jean Montclar: it is a well-equipped, friendly, family resort, hence its "Ski France" approval as a "Famille Plus" as well as its "green" holiday-resort label: "station verte de vacances". The skiing covers more than 50km of slopes in the Blanche and Ubaye valleys, between the altitudes of 1,300m and 2,500 m, and with facilities comprising 4 chairlifts and 12 skilifts. Every type of sliding sports is practised here, as well as snowshoe trekking for all, enabling you to explore the countryside in its natural state and to enjoy some magical encounters. St Jean Montclar is also a Free-Rider's paradise with many off-piste areas. It is advisable to use a guide for off-piste activities.
First-rate equipment
Snow is guaranteed: the area is equipped with high-performance snow cannons between 1,300 m and 1,600 m. The ski schools and the day-care centre will look after your children and help them earn their star. A 600-m² artificial rink where you can show off your skating skills to music. Want a bite to eat, or a few minutes rest? Everything is at hand: three high-altitude restaurants with magnificent views in shepherds' huts. Escape, relaxation and sunbathing are all on the programme. Access is also available to non-skiers (snow-shoes or chair lift).
Space for freedom
At L'Etoile des Neiges in winter, there are caravaneige pitches and 30 heated chalets. You'll have space for parking your car, making snowmen, building igloos, and improvising toboggan runs, to the inevitable accompaniment of hoots of laughter.
Tailor-made facilities
To enable you to make the most of every minute of your holiday, your lift passes and ski-hire equipment can be ready and waiting for you in your chalet from the moment you arrive. Ask for all-inclusive packages, it's so much easier! On top of that, as a client of L'Etoile des Neiges Yelloh! Village, you enjoy preferential rates on lift passes, ski equipment hire, and entry to the skating rink. Finally, a day-nursery service for children aged from 6 months to 6 years is just 200m from the campsite, and there is, of course, a ski kindergarten (jardin des neiges) all-inclusive pass for children from 3 years.
The indoor balneotherapy centre awaits you after your exertions, with a bath at 29° and SPAs at 35°, a sauna and hammam. All you need for winding down and warming up! For an extra charge, you can also book massages.
In the evening, the restaurant serves a fireside table-d'hôte menu, with alpine specialities such as fondue, tartiflette, etc... (pre-booking required); half board available, also requires pre-booking.
