Staff were helpful, but it took a long time for them to respond to sorting out our muddy entrance problem. We got there in the end but I thought they should have been more proactive rather than us complaining about the issue. ( To start, we got the classic Gallic shrug of the shoulders, when I complained about our entrance and it took a couple of conversations & showing of pictures to get the message across but Mark - deputy? - assured us it was in hand) We think a note should have been dropped in saying that the problem was being addressed so we didnt have to keep asking

We originally planned to stay at the Yelloh Brasilia Village. My parents had stayed at the Brasilia site several times and were very pleased with the quality of the site and the facilities. Brasilia was fully booked so we looked for an alternative Yelloh site expecting the same quality across all Yelloh villages. Unfortunately this was not the case. The Ilbarritz Yelloh village was one of our worst camping experiences. My family of four and my parents (Mr & Mrs Ketterer) booked and paid to stay for 12 nights. However, after 6 nights we felt we were unable to stay any longer and left the site. The site was extremely overcrowded. Pitches were small, very sloped, cramped and so close to your neighbour there was no privacy. There was not a patch of grass that did not have a tent, caravan or chalet on it. There was no open space for children to play. The site was also incredibly noisy. Some holidaymakers had no regard for others when making noise late at night and into the early hours of the morning. The campsite director assured us that there was night security to enforce quiet, however we saw no evidence of this, as noise continued on a nightly basis. The noise was so disturbing that my children were unable to sleep before midnight on any night we were there. As there was no evidential night security other holiday makers could be heard voicing their frustration at the persistent night noise by shouting out ?BE QUIET!? and ?FERME LA BOUCHE!?. Vehicles were allowed to enter the site until 12pm which is far too late! The site had a high population of back packers. This is not a family orientated campsite and should not be advertised as so. We explained our reasons for leaving the village 6 nights early to the staff. However their response was ?it?s not our fault if you don?t like it here?. We believe IT IS their fault if we don?t like it as they have failed in their management of the site. The Director advised that they were unable to

We had a great weeks holiday staying in one if the 3 bed chalets. We liked the pool area and 25m pool; the Internet access was appreciated though we had not been told the gym had closed. The chalet was very clean and the standard of furniture and mattresses etc was excellent.

Very friendly staff, english spoken well by receptionist. Sadly intro for the kids club there was no english spoken so put off my children from joining in. Site was well situated and fairly quiet. The shower block and toilets were clean but unfortunately the temperature in the showers was often way too hot - I believe they tried to correct his but sadly it never got much cooler. Was too hot most times to allow children to shower.

Good overall, however some complaints: 1. Our chalet unit was right next to a camping pitch, occupied by teenagers who spent most of the night talking loudly whilst sitting a metre away from us. The chalet walls were very thin and the chatter was a constant night-time distraction. I think premium-priced chalets should be sited more thoughtfully. 2. No organised activities for teenagers, although we understood this was offered from the advertising. Childrens activities were only for French speakers. 3. Bar service was appalling. Actually went back to my chalet for a drink, as the barman was only interested in talking to his friend.

On arrival we were disappointed with the standard of the campsite. We had previously stayed at Camping Le Brasillia and very impressed and as this campsite was under the Yelloh umbrella we were expecting great things I must say I can't believe the standards were so dissimilar. The site was overcrowded and noisy. The no noise after 11.p.m was a joke that was not adhered to or enforced. I have go say it was the worth campsite I have ever visited. We paid for 12 nights and left after 6. We complained about standards and asked for a refund, to no avail. The director seemed to scoff at the prospect that we would take this up with Yelloh. He said eventually that if our pitches were rented out that we might be refunded the 225 euro for the remaining 6 nights. Personally I feel that we deserve a full refund as our holiday was a complete disaster.

Excellent location. Great facilities. Helpful staff. Well laid out mobile home with excellent storage in a small area. Shower very good. Cooking facilities good- having an oven would have made them perfect! Having a dish washer was brilliant. Having a safe was a bonus and the outside seating area was lovely- under shade and a lovely fig tree- perfect. Mobile home was clean. General organisation from Yelloh Village was very good, clear and concise instructions and directions. We had an absolutely brilliant holiday- thank you!

There is no waiting area in the car park for caravans to check in and there is not much room outside when you wait to check in at reception that does not obstruct the in and out gates to the campsite, especially as the car park provides access to other shops. Very impressed with the swimming pools and even in a busy period there was never much difficulty in finding a sunbed at the poolside. Would like to see better lighting in the toilets as it is darker on one side than the other. Would also prefer that gents toilets were on one side and ladies on the other. Felt that toilets often did not smell that fresh and it was from people using them rather than not being cleaned. The toilets were low and not at a good level for a male aim and that was why there were lots of damp patches on the floor. Enjoyed our stay and liked the facilities and location of the site. The showers were powerful, but late afternoon/early evening there was never any hot water and you could only have a slightly warmer than cold rinse to freshen up for the evening. Would like to have a bin area in the main part of campsite as it was quite a long way to have to drag bags full of rubbish to the main entrance to get rid of them.
